Who Shouldn’t Buy the NOBULL Canvas Lifter?
While I do like the NOBULL Canvas Lifter more than the traditional NOBULL Lifter, there are a couple of contexts where I think you’ll want to pass on this shoe.
1. You Like a Weightlifting Shoe With a Flatter Toe Box
I’m torn on the NOBULL Canvas Lifter’s toe box construction because I appreciate its flexibility, but I’m not the biggest fan of its toe spring. This model has a little more toe spring, which is the curling of the toe upwards, compared to other weightlifting shoes.
At times, this can be problematic in weightlifting shoes and cross-training shoes for athletes and lifters that constantly battle “being forward” in their squats, clean & jerks, and snatches.
If you fall into this camp of lifter and athlete then I’d pass on the Canvas Lifter and look for a weightlifting shoe that has a much flatter sole construction and forefoot.
2. You Want a Higher Heel Elevation
Another context where you might want to pass on the NOBULL Canvas Lifter is if you want a higher heel elevation. Different heel elevations will resonate with different athletes and lifters and this is based on needs and preferences.
For example, I tend to like higher heel elevations for movements like high-bar back squats because I have longer legs. A higher heel can support my desired form better compared to a lower heel elevation.
If you like a little more heel then you’ll want to explore shoes that have heel heights of .75 inches or higher like the ANTA 2 or UA Reign Lifter.

The modern workplace has transformed the way we work. With employees working from home, using their devices, and blending office and remote work, the security needs of companies have grown. Identity management software helps to keep company data secure by controlling access.
To determine if someone is who they say they are, an IAM solution checks their login information against a database that keeps track of the identities of all employees and external users. It also tracks the uniqueness of all systems, devices, and applications they use. The database is updated as people move in and out of the workforce, their roles change, and the scope of a business evolves.
Once a digital identity is verified, it can access apps, systems, and resources. IAM tools can also manage privileged account management (PAM)—the process of controlling access to susceptible accounts, like admins that oversee databases and systems. This type of access requires extra layers of protection, such as credential vaults and just-in-time authentication protocols.
Many IAM solutions are known for their ability to handle the complexities of third-party identity management, which involves managing the identities and access rights of partners and other non-employees. One example has a suite of independently licensed products with unified control for third-party and non-employee identity management. It offers centralized directories, single sign-on, strong authentication, and automation of onboarding and offboarding processes.

За два года жизни в Канаде у нас появилось много канадских знакомых. Люди не отказывались напрямую, но всегда находили предлог, чтобы избежать встречи. При этом в Ванкувере у нас были друзья из Латинской Америки, Индии и Европы, и с ними таких проблем не было.
В России человек может стоять на улице с каменным лицом, но если обратиться к нему с вопросом, то через пять минут вы уже можете общаться как хорошие знакомые. В североамериканской культуре все наоборот. Там все тебе улыбаются, проявляют вежливость, есть культура смол-тока — но дальше него отношения не развиваются. Все заканчивается одним касанием. На следующий день человек может сделать вид, что тебя не знает.
В рабочих отношениях тоже есть некая субординация. С коллегой кофе пить не пойдешь: так не принято. Отношения не выходят за рамки рабочих. Это касается именно канадцев — сейчас в Мадриде у нас противоположная ситуация.
Возможно, такое сближение происходит позже, через пять-семь лет общения, а не за два года, как в нашем случае. Еще я читала, что часто у них формируются микрогруппы со времен колледжа и им хватает этого круга общения.
Люди здесь очень толерантны. Никто не скажет, что ты не так одет, не так ходишь, не так говоришь. С другой стороны, есть большое число фриков, которые творят всякую неопасную дичь на улицах и никто им ничего не говорит, даже полиция. Например, у нас в Китсилано напротив аптеки бездомный житель поставил палатку и жил, играл на гитаре. Туалета у него там не было, и он использовал для этого все окрестные углы.
Легализация
Мы переезжали по рабочей визе, документы помогла оформить компания мужа. Но у Канады много программ для иммигрантов, с помощью которых можно получить ВНЖ. Есть три федеральные и провинциальная, которая объединяет программы разных регионов страны (в России их сайты открываются только с VPN):
- Federal Skilled Worker Program — федеральная программа для квалифицированных рабочих.
- Federal Skilled Trades Program — федеральная программа для представителей рабочих профессий.
- Canadian Experience Class — федеральная программа для кандидатов с канадским опытом работы.
- Provincial Nominee Program — провинциальная программа.
Для участия нужно отправить заявку через систему Express Entry и указать в анкете информацию об образовании, уровне владения языком, профессии и рабочем опыте. На основании этого кандидату присваивают определенное количество баллов.
Тех, кто набрал больше всего баллов, власти страны могут пригласить подать документы на ВНЖ. В провинциальных программах балл обычно ниже, так как в некоторых северных регионах может быть большая нехватка специалистов. По отзывам знакомых, переехать с помощью провинциальной программы проще.
Такой путь лучше, чем рабочая виза: он позволяет получить ВНЖ еще до переезда в Канаду. В отдаленных регионах на севере страны не хватает специалистов, там конкурс чуть полегче и больше шансов получить приглашение.
